This two-hour electric bike tour starts in the center of Florence and follows bike paths through neighborhoods outside the historic core to reach the hills surrounding the city. The route passes through the Tuscan countryside, featuring old cypress trees, olive groves, and small vineyards. The first stop is Piazzale Michelangelo, where participants spend about one hour enjoying views of Florence from the terrace. The tour then continues to the Romanesque Basilica of San Miniato al Monte for a fifteen-minute visit. Next, the ride proceeds to the village of Villa Pian dei Giullari, a small settlement known for its historic villas and theatrical history, with a fifteen-minute stop. The final stop is the Arcetri area, which includes several historic sites such as the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory and Galileo Galilei’s confinement house; participants spend about twenty minutes here. After completing the ride, participants return to Florence’s historic center for a gelato tasting. An optional extension includes a three-course Tuscan lunch at a traditional trattoria in the city center; drinks during lunch are not included and must be paid separately. The tour includes use of an electric bicycle, helmet, raincoat if needed, and a rear child seat on request. Water refilling stations are available for personal bottles. The ride is designed to require little effort but participants should be confident riding a regular bicycle. Children between three and eight years old who weigh less than 47 pounds (22 kg) may ride free in the child seat.
