Overview

The Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Cairns, is one of the largest coral reef systems in the world. This full-day cruise on the Silverswift catamaran offers about 10 hours on the water to explore three different reef sites: Flynn, Milln, and Thetford. These locations provide a variety of coral formations and marine life, with options for snorkeling, introductory diving, or certified scuba diving. Guests board the 29-meter Silverswift at Cairns Marlin Wharf between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. The day includes up to five hours in the water across the three reef stops, where participants can snorkel or dive depending on their chosen option. Certified divers may complete up to three dives, while beginners can take one or two introductory dives or snorkel with a guided reef tour led by a crew member. The boat has full bar facilities, fresh water showers, and sun decks overlooking the Coral Sea. Meals and refreshments are included, with a tropical buffet lunch served between reef visits and morning and afternoon tea provided. Snorkeling equipment, dive gear (if selected), prescription masks, and the Environmental Management Charge are all covered in the price. This tour is recommended for those comfortable in the water and includes professional guides throughout the day.
