Parking is not included, but nearby options are available at The Hilton Hotel and The Grand America for a separate fee. Gratuities are not included in the cost.
Antelope Island Wildlife Spotting
The tour includes a visit to Antelope Island, which offers more solitude than locations near I-80 and is rich in wildlife. Participants will search for a wild herd of 600 American Bison and may also encounter mule deer, big-horn sheep, porcupine, antelope, bobcat, coyote, and during the right season, up to 200,000 migratory birds. Following the wildlife viewing, there is a 0.9-mile round-trip hike to Buffalo Point featuring some steep dirt sections and classified as moderately difficult. The group travels in a high-roof 12-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van equipped with large rear windows for animal observation. Restroom facilities are accessible. During the April to June bug season, bug spray and protective hats or nets are provided.
