The Hell's Gate Mud Bath and Sulphur Spas in Rotorua offers a one-hour spa experience. Visitors begin by applying natural mud from Hell's Gate onto their skin. This mud has been used by the local Maori for over 800 years to cleanse the skin. After covering the body with the mud, guests rinse it off. Next, they enter the sulphur spa pools to exfoliate and further cleanse the skin. While in the spa pools, visitors can see the geothermal reserve nearby, which includes steaming vents and hot springs. The experience includes access to both the mud bath and sulphur spa facilities. Swimwear and towels are not included but can be rented onsite. Food and drinks are not provided.
