This small-group bus tour from Inverness or Invergordon explores several key sites in the Scottish Highlands over about 5 to 7 hours. The journey begins with a visit to Clava Cairns, a 4,000-year-old Bronze Age cemetery complex made up of passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairns, and standing stones located near Inverness. Next, the tour stops at Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last pitched battle on British soil in 1746. Visitors can tour the interactive visitor centre, see artefacts from the Jacobite Rising, and watch a surround cinema presentation about the battle. Entry to Culloden Battlefield Museum is not included. The tour also includes a visit to the Inverness Castle Experience, a new visitor center opening in 2025 that tells stories about the Highlands’ past, present, and future. Admission to Inverness Castle is not covered. Afterward, there is a stop at the shoreline of Loch Ness where participants can walk down to the water’s edge and, if they wish, dip their toes into the lake. The tour concludes with a visit to the Great Glen Distillery, Scotland’s smallest gin distillery, where guests can sample their award-winning gin and hear the story of the distillery’s origins. Note that the distillery is closed during winter months. The tour uses an air-conditioned minibus and includes onboard WiFi, a local guide, and a small dram of whisky if desired. The second stop is the site of the final Jacobite Rising battle on 16 April 1746, the last pitched battle on British soil. Visitors can explore the interactive visitor centre, view artefacts from both sides, and experience the battle in a surround cinema. In less than an hour, around 1,500 men died, more than 1,000 of them Jacobites. Entry to this attraction is not included in the ticket.

The tour then stops at the Inverness Castle Experience in the city centre, a new visitor attraction scheduled to open in 2025. It presents stories of the Highlands' history and culture. Visitors spend around two hours here. Admission fee is excluded.

There is a brief stop at the stairway leading down to the shoreline of Loch Ness. Visitors can walk down to the water and, if they wish, dip their feet into the lake's relatively warm water. The stop lasts about 15 minutes.
