Overview

The tour begins with a departure from Inverness, heading west along Loch Ness where there is a stop to take photographs of the famous lake. The drive continues through mountain scenery toward the west coast. There is a one-hour stop at Eilean Donan Castle, allowing time to explore inside if the entry ticket is purchased on site. After crossing the Skye Bridge, the guide shares stories about the island’s myths, clan rivalries, and a fugitive prince. Lunch is served in Portree, the island’s main town, followed by a visit to its colorful harbor. The tour then proceeds along the Isle of Skye’s coastline to view landmarks including the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Kilt Rock, and Lealt Falls. There is a half-hour stop at the Quiraing and a 15-minute stop at Kilt Rock, as well as a 10-minute stop at the Old Man of Storr. The tour concludes with a 30-minute visit to Sligachan Old Bridge before returning to Inverness.
