Overview

This half-day llama trekking tour lasts about three and a half hours along Kaikoura Bay and its surrounding beaches. Participants walk alongside their own llama, which carries belongings in two saddle bags while being led on a lead. The trek follows beaches, boardwalks, and coastal paths with mountain views. Visitors stop at Ohau Point Seal Colony for about 20 minutes to observe seals in their natural environment. An experienced guide assists guests in bonding with their intelligent llama and provides information about Kaikoura's local history, including the 2016 earthquake. Tea, coffee, and snacks are included. Riding the llamas is not permitted.
