There is a minimum number of passengers required; if this number is not met after confirmation, the tour may be canceled. In such cases, an alternative or a full refund will be provided.
Infants younger than 3 years old are not permitted on the cruises but may participate in the light aircraft tours.
If the tour has started and the boats do not sail or the planes do not fly, only the unused portion of the tour will be refunded.
If the boat issues a partial refund due to whale sightings or weather conditions, this refund will be passed on to customers.
When the whale watch is conducted by light aircraft and no whales are spotted, no refund will be given.
At 6:30am daily, a decision is made based on local weather whether the tour will depart from Christchurch or be canceled. If canceled, clients are informed by 7:15am with no cancellation fees. If traveling to Kaikoura and whale watch cruises are canceled, whale watch plane tours are offered as an alternative. If clients decline flying or if plane tours are also canceled, a cash refund of NZD 120.00 per adult is provided on the day of the tour in Christchurch.
Wineries close at 5pm daily and on certain public holidays; therefore, a stop may not be possible on those days, and no refund will be given.
