The Ketchikan Duck Tour lasts ninety minutes and takes place on an amphibious vehicle that operates as both a bus and a boat. The tour starts on land, traveling through the rustic streets of Ketchikan on Revillagigedo Island, including Orchard Lake. During this part of the tour, a guide provides live narration, trivia, and entertainment. After the bus portion, the vehicle enters the harbor and continues as a boat, cruising on calm, protected waters within the Inside Passage. This offers views of Ketchikan from the water without venturing into the open ocean. The amphibious vehicle is Coast Guard certified and inspected. Sightseeing by both bus and boat is included in the tour. Onboard restrooms, gratuities, hotel pickup and drop-off, and a transportation fee from Ward Cove to Downtown Ketchikan are not included. Guests must be able to climb a nine-step boarding ladder to board the vehicle and remain seated during the tour. Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers cannot be taken on board but are stored securely during the tour and returned afterward. The tour is the only amphibious tour available in Alaska.
