Explore the secret coastal and rural areas of Japan, from boathouses on the sea to ancient thatched villages, every step is a postcard-perfect scene ๐๐ก. First, arrive at Ine Funaya, known as "Japan's Venice." Over 230 boathouses line Ine Bay, creating a picturesque scene with transparent waters, deep green mountains, and ever-changing skies. Stroll or cycle ๐ด along the coast, and check out the niche spot "Funaya Biyori" to quietly enjoy the bay view with a cup of coffee โ๏ธ. Don't forget to experience the unique structure of the boathouses, with the first floor serving as a boat garage and the second floor as a residence, offering a taste of authentic fishing village life. Next, head to Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three scenic views. Approximately 8,000 pine trees grow on the sandbar in Miyazu Bay of the Sea of Japan, forming a bridge that seems to reach the sky. Ascend to the observation deck of Monju Mountain to overlook the stunning scenery known as "Hiryu-kan" (Flying Dragon View) ๐ช. The white sand beaches on both sides of the sandbar are perfect for a stroll. Explore Amanohashidate Shrine within the pine forest to pray for love ๐. You can also visit the ancient well "Iso Shimizu" to experience the spiritual energy of Japan's famous waters. Monju-do Temple (for sightseeing only; no religious activities involved) enshrines the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, and its gate and revolving bridge add to the charm. The sight of the revolving bridge rotating when large ships pass through is truly amazing. Finally, arrive at Miyama Thatched Village, which, along with Shirakawa-go, is one of Japan's three major thatched-roof village clusters. In Kitamura, about 40 out of 50 households retain their thatched roofs ๐๏ธ. This place is as tranquil as a fairyland, as if you've traveled back to the Edo period. We recommend checking out the red postbox ๐ฎ and the roofs of the entire row of thatched houses, observing the ancient wisdom of "Chigi" (ornamental roof crossbeams) and "Yukiyori" (snow-splitting structures). Enjoy Miyama milk ice cream at "Cafe Gallery Ayaka" or visit the Folk Museum to learn about ancient household items and interior structures, experiencing the unique charm of Japanese rural culture. This journey combines authentic fishing village scenery, stunning sea views, and ancient village culture. Whether for photography, strolling, or a short break, it's a relaxing and healing travel experience ๐.
