Overview

This small-group coach tour from Glasgow covers key parts of the Scottish Highlands, including Glencoe, the Great Glen, and Loch Ness. The tour lasts about 12 hours and is led by an English-speaking driver-guide with local knowledge. Groups are limited to 16 people, allowing time to enjoy the scenery and stops without rushing. The day begins with a break at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park to stretch and take photos. Next, the group stops at Glencoe for a short walk and an overview of its historic significance. As the tour passes through Fort William, there is a chance to see Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain, from the coach windows on clear days. The main stop is in Fort Augustus at the southern end of Loch Ness, where guests have about 75 minutes to have lunch, explore the village, and watch boats at the Caledonian Canal locks. At Loch Ness, an optional 50-minute cruise is offered on the day and can be paid for locally. Those not joining the cruise can spend extra time in the village or along the loch shore. The return journey goes through Cairngorms National Park with views from the coach, followed by a final refreshment break in Perthshire before heading back to Glasgow. Included are air-conditioned transport, the small group size, and the driver-guide’s services. Food, drinks, the optional Loch Ness cruise, and gratuities are not included.
