This full-day tour begins early in Cusco with a hotel pickup between 3:30 and 5:00 a.m. You will be transferred to the Ollantaytambo train station to board a panoramic train heading to Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu. The train journey lasts about an hour and a half, passing through Andean mountains and valleys. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a guide will meet you at the station to assist with boarding the bus to Machu Picchu and managing your entrance time. The bus ride takes you up to the archaeological site where you will enter as a group. Remember to bring your original passport as it is required for entry. At Machu Picchu, a guided tour of about two hours covers the main sectors of the Inca citadel, explaining its history, architecture, and cultural importance.
