At approximately 6:00 a.m., travelers board the train to Machu Picchu. The train journey to Aguas Calientes takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, the guide meets guests in the main square to explain bus tickets and entrance procedures. There is time to have breakfast and use restrooms before continuing.

Aguas Calientes

Guests take a 35-minute bus ride from Aguas Calientes to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Park. This is the transfer to the sanctuary at the start of the guided visit.
