This full-day bus and train tour begins early with hotel pickup in Cusco and transport to Ollantaytambo train station. You will take a tourist-class roundtrip train ride through the Andes from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the mountain village near Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a guide will escort you by bus up to the Machu Picchu sanctuary where you will spend about two hours exploring the main sites with a professional certified guide who speaks Spanish, English, or Portuguese. After the guided visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes with some free time to have lunch and walk around the village (meals not included). Later in the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. A driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
