Overview

This group day tour from Hoi An lasts about seven and a half hours and covers Marble Mountains, Am Phu Cave, and Monkey Mountains. The tour begins with hotel pickup in Hoi An or Da Nang. At Marble Mountains, a cluster of five limestone and marble hills near the sea, you climb stone steps to visit caves, Buddhist pagodas, and Hindu grottoes used for worship. You also visit a traditional marble carving village over 300 years old, where local craftsmen create marble artworks. After this, the tour includes a Vietnamese lunch at a local family’s home, offering time to speak with residents. After lunch, the tour continues to Am Phu Cave, known as Hell Cave, where the guide explains Buddhist philosophies blending folklore and human values. Then you head to Monkey Mountains on Son Tra Peninsula, where you visit Linh Ung Pagoda, one of the largest pagodas in Da Nang city. Here you see the tallest Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Lady Buddha) statue in Vietnam, standing 67 meters high. There is time to take photos and relax while possibly observing monkeys near the pagoda. The tour ends with a return transfer to your hotel in Hoi An or Da Nang. The tour includes an English-speaking guide, all entrance fees, bottled water, air-conditioned transport, and lunch.
