After landing at a remote beach, guests take a guided hike over rocky terrain near the Mendenhall Glacier for about an hour. The tour includes expert wilderness guides, rain gear, waterproof boots, life vest, helmet, trekking poles, bottled water, snacks, and a hot beverage. It requires physical ability for up to 2 hours of canoe paddling and 1.5 hours of hiking over uneven, steep ground. The tour does not include walking on the glacier ice itself.
