Overview

This full-day bus tour from Tokyo covers several key spots near Mt. Fuji and Hakone over about 11 hours. The tour begins at Shinjuku Love, where a guide holding a blue flag will meet you. Your first stop is Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, where you can spend around 30 minutes taking in views and visiting Komitake Shrine. Next, the bus travels to Owakudani Valley for 30 minutes to see volcanic vents and fumaroles. From there, you take the Hakone Ropeway for about 25 minutes, riding from Owakudani to Sounzan Station while looking down on the volcanic landscape. Then you board a pirate-themed boat for a 30-minute cruise on Lake Ashi. On clear days, Mt. Fuji is visible, and you can spot the red torii gate of Hakone Shrine near the shore. At the end of the tour, participants choosing the bullet train return option will leave the group at Odawara Station to take the Shinkansen back to Tokyo Station. Those returning by bus will travel back to Shinjuku, arriving around 7:30 PM depending on traffic. An English-speaking tour conductor accompanies the group throughout the day. A Japanese-style lunch is included if the lunch option is selected. The coach is air-conditioned and has free WiFi. Restrooms are not available on board. The itinerary may change if weather or road conditions prevent access to Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, and alternative sightseeing stops will be provided. The tour operates regardless of weather, but views of Mt. Fuji are not guaranteed.
