This 2-hour motorized tour takes you through Old San Juan, known as ‘The Walled City,’ on either a Segway PT or a Segway Xafari Ebike. The small-group format limits each vehicle type to 6 riders, which allows you to move easily and cover more than 15 key sights. Along the way, a local guide shares information about the city’s history, including its origins as a military stronghold, its role during the Spanish empire, World War II, and its status as the oldest city under the American flag. The route includes stops at landmarks such as the Juan Ponce de Leon Statue, made from British cannons; Paseo de la Princesa, where the 1837 Spanish Jail stands; La Puerta de San Juan, the historic watergate; and the Governor’s Palace, La Fortaleza, in use since 1544. You will also see Calle De La Fortaleza, the main street, La Rogativa procession site from 1797, the Dominican Convent, San Juan Bay, Casa Bacardi Puerto Rico across the water, Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery viewed from Quincentennial Square, and the exterior grounds of Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Filtered water is available if you bring a container, sunscreen is provided at the main office, helmets and secure storage for belongings are included.
