This paddleboarding session in Newquay lasts about two hours and combines instruction with a guided tour along the coast. The activity begins at a centre near Towan beach where you receive all necessary equipment, including a paddle board, paddle, wetsuit, and buoyancy aid. After a safety briefing, instructors provide a step-by-step lesson covering launching, landing, balancing, paddle strokes, and turning. You'll start kneeling on the board and move to standing once you're comfortable. Once you master the basics, the tour continues with a paddle along Newquay’s coastline, taking in locations such as the sheltered coves near Towan Head, the harbour, and Newquay Bay. The instructors also share information about local history and wildlife during the tour. By the end of the session, you should be able to paddle confidently and understand how to assess weather and water conditions for future outings. The tour is led by professional, qualified surf instructors who provide all paddleboarding equipment. The experience requires suitable weather; if conditions are poor, the operator offers an alternative activity, rescheduling, or a credit. Children over 8 years old can participate.
