This private tour in Antigua lasts about four and a half hours and includes both land sightseeing and snorkeling. The tour begins with visits to Nelson's Dockyard and Shirleys Heights, where participants can explore these well-known sites. After the sightseeing, the group goes to a beach for snorkeling in mostly shallow water. The snorkeling guide is a local spearfisherman who shares information about the marine environment. There is a very high chance of seeing sea turtles and a definite chance to see two shipwrecks during the snorkel. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and the vehicle used for transport has air conditioning. Videos of the snorkeling around the shipwrecks and turtles are recorded and sent to participants after the tour. Admission to national parks, including Nelson's Dockyard and Shirleys Heights, is not included and must be paid separately once per group. Travelers who do not wish to snorkel can still join the land portion of the tour. Lunch is not included. The tour requires a moderate level of physical fitness and is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

****DISCLAIMER**** THIS TOUR IS CHANGING FOR THOSE WHO ARE BOOKING IN ADVANCE ANYTIME PAST NOVEMBER, THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WILL APPLY 1. It will no longer be private, it will be up to ten people max. 2. Snorkeling will be done at your own discretion, the guide watches on shore. 3. You will have access to snorkel equipment and floatation devices, the guide will point out where the shipwrecks are and where the hot spots are for turtles. WE TOUR Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. Snorkeling is done in a protected harbor meaning the water is very calm and relatively shallow and visibility is normally good. Even beginners or first time snorkelers can do this. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson's Dockyard and one for Shirley's Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks! Tour Duration time is approximate, and depends on where you are staying and how far drive time is.
