Overview

This six-hour award-winning premium wine tour begins with pickup from select accommodations or bus stops in Queenstown. Transportation is provided in a premium Mercedes vehicle driven by a wine-certified guide. The tour visits four wineries in the Gibbston region, known for its Pinot Noir and quality vineyards. The first stop is Gibbston Valley Winery, one of the region's founding wineries. Guests take a guided tour of New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave and taste several of the winery’s notable wines during a one-hour visit. The second stop is Kinross, where guests spend ninety minutes tasting wines from multiple labels, including those from smaller producers. There is additional time to order lunch from the winery bistro menu, which offers pizzas, platters, and mains; lunch is at guests’ own expense. The third stop is Mt Rosa Wines, a boutique, owner-operated winery located below the Nevis Bluff. Over one hour, tastings include various single-label wines, with mulled wine being a popular choice. The final stop is Ayrburn, where guests spend one hour enjoying a self-guided wine flight in the historic Manure Room or outdoors if weather permits. Throughout the day, the guide and cellar hosts provide commentary and information about the wines. All alcoholic beverages served during tastings are included.
