Overview

Rome's Colosseum is one of the largest ancient Roman structures, built between 72 and 80 AD. This guided tour lasts about 2 to 3 hours and includes entrance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The tour starts at the Colosseum, where the guide explains its history, architecture, and role as an entertainment venue in ancient Rome. Visitors learn about the political and social context of the Roman Empire at that time. After the Colosseum, participants receive digital tickets to enter the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill independently. The Roman Forum was the center of political, religious, and commercial life in Rome, with ruins of important buildings to explore. The guide provides directions from the Colosseum exit to the Forum entrance near the Arch of Titus. The Palatine Hill is where Rome was originally founded, with ruins of imperial palaces and the Farnese Gardens. Visitors can walk to a terrace viewpoint that overlooks the Roman Forum. The tour includes headsets to hear the guide clearly, a licensed guide throughout, and the required entrance tickets, except for optional areas like the underground or arena floor, which are not included unless specifically selected.
