Overview

Rotorua’s Redwoods Forest features tall trees and extensive trails. This two-hour high ropes adventure takes place 25 metres above the ground on a 650-metre course of jungle bridges and zip lines. Participants start at the Altitude hanger, where guides provide safety equipment and a briefing at the training area. The course uses a continuous safety system to keep guests secured as they move across 25 suspended bridges and ziplines. At the end, there is an optional controlled descent before returning to the hanger on foot. Included with the ropes course is entry to the Redwoods Glowworms eco-cave, a fully guided 10-minute walk located beside the Treewalk. The guides share local information about the forest’s history, native plants and animals, and Māori legends throughout the experience. Safety equipment and full guidance are provided for the entire activity.
