The tour begins with an introduction to the nationally recognized kiwi conservation program, which has successfully hatched over 2,500 kiwi chicks. Visitors will see kiwi eggs being incubated and learn about the techniques used in egg incubation and chick rearing. Between September and March, the main hatching season, there is a chance to witness kiwi chicks hatching and observe newly hatched kiwi. Outside of this period, the tour includes a visit to the Nocturnal House, where adult kiwi can be seen roaming and foraging in a specially designed enclosure. The experience also features time in an interactive kiwi burrow exhibit that explains kiwi behavior and habitat. A return shuttle operates between the Agrodome check-in zone and the hatchery. The tour is suitable for children aged five years and older. Food, drinks, and hotel transfers are not included. Visitors should check in at least 15 minutes before the tour departure time. All ticket fees support the kiwi hatching program.
