This guided hiking tour explores the Sólheimajökull Glacier near Vik, Iceland, lasting about three hours. The hike is suitable for beginners and small groups, with no previous glacier experience required. Participants receive all glacier equipment including crampons, helmets, harnesses, and ice axes. The guide leads the group safely across the glacier, pointing out blue ice formations and deep crevasses that cannot be seen from afar. The terrain covers roughly 3 kilometers of uneven ground. Hiking boots with ankle support are required and can be rented if needed. The tour departs multiple times daily and is designed to fit into a South Coast itinerary.
