Overview

This three-hour Sedona Vortex Odyssey van tour combines spiritual and scientific perspectives to explore the Sedona vortex phenomenon. The tour begins at the office with a ten-minute introduction. It then travels to Airport Mesa, where participants spend about thirty minutes learning about the Mogollon Rim, the area's geological features, and their connection to the vortex. From Airport Mesa, the group views a canyon that is four miles long and half a mile wide. Next, the tour visits Capitol Butte, also known as Thunder Mountain, a site known for its powerful vortex and frequent lightning strikes. The group then spends approximately fifty minutes at Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park, a Buddhist site featuring a shrine to Amitabha Buddha. Guides explain the connections between Buddhism and Native American shamanism, focusing on Hopi traditions. From Peace Park, participants see Chimney Rock and a distinctive rock formation called "Rise of the Elders" located in Sedona’s outback. The tour continues to a viewpoint offering one of Sedona’s best scenic views without hiking. This spot is located at the center of Sedona’s vortex energy and within an area rich in ruins. It was preserved by a previous landowner to allow public access. The group spends about thirty minutes here. The tour concludes with a view into Long Canyon from Rachel's Knoll. The van includes air conditioning, and parking fees and bottled water are provided. Pets are not allowed on this tour.
