Overview

This full-day guided bus tour covers key temples of the Angkor Wat complex near Siem Reap. The tour starts with hotel pickup between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM and begins at Angkor Wat, a 12th-century temple built by King Suryavarman II dedicated to Vishnu. After spending about two hours there, the group visits Banteay Kdei, a late 12th-century monastic temple largely unrestored, for around 45 minutes. The tour continues with a one-hour visit to Ta Prohm Temple, known for its large fig tree roots growing through the ruins, preserved in its original state. Following this, there is a lunch break at a local restaurant (lunch not included in the price). After lunch, the tour moves on to Bayon Temple for one hour to see its Buddhist architecture and numerous stone faces. The day concludes with a one-hour climb to Phnom Bakheng temple mountain to watch the sunset over the Angkor area. Included in the tour are an English-speaking guide, air-conditioned transport, cold water, and cold towels. Entrance fees and all meals are not included. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and infant meals are not provided.

Angkor Wat

The tour begins with pickup from the hotel between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. The first stop is Angkor Wat, constructed in the early 12th century by Khmer King Suryavarman II. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and is one of Southeast Asia's major archaeological sites. Visitors spend approximately two hours here.

Next is Banteay Kdei Temple, built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. This large temple complex was used as a monastery and has not been extensively restored, reflecting a similar style to the Ta Prohm temple. Visitors spend around 45 minutes exploring this site.
