This small-group hike takes place on the blue ice of Falljökull, a glacier outlet of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. Participants start in Skaftafell and travel by 4x4 bus to the edge of the glacier, allowing more time on the ice. A certified glacier guide leads the hike, which lasts about four hours and covers approximately three kilometers over uneven terrain. The guide provides information about the glacier's features and the surrounding landscape. Specialized glacier equipment including crampons, ice picks, harnesses, and helmets are provided for safety.
