The Escape Game in San Diego offers a 75-minute escape room experience located in the Gaslamp Quarter near dining spots like Tacos El Carbon and Cerveza Jack’s. The venue features five different game themes, including Timeliner: Train Through Time and Prison Break, which is their most challenging room. Each game can accommodate up to eight players and includes multiple rooms designed for family groups. Participants spend about 15 minutes before the game on briefing and preparation, followed by the 75-minute gameplay where teams solve puzzles and follow clues to complete their mission. After the game, there is another 15 minutes for debriefing and photos. The environment is family-friendly and non-scary, with staff available for support. Players enter a locked room with an exit button available to leave at any time. Guests must be at least 13 years old to play, though younger players can join if accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. All players under 18 require a waiver signed by an adult. Unless a group reserves all spots, games may be shared with others joining the team. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not provided. Admission includes entry to play one adventure.

Here’s how it works: You and your team will work together to find clues, solve puzzles, and ultimately complete a mission. Escaping will require teamwork, communication, wits, a sense of adventure, and most importantly: YOU! Once you arrive, a dedicated game guide will take you on to your adventure and help you as needed. You will have exactly 60-minutes to complete the mission in your adventure and escape. Choose to play one of four uniquely immersive games: - Prison Break: Complete a daring escape from the evil warden! - Special Ops: Mysterious Market: Uncover the truth as a secret agent! - The Depths: Go on an underwater mission in a submarine! - Gold Rush: Find the hidden gold!
