Overview

The Habitat Penang Hill is a B Corp Certified, award winning rainforest discovery park, set atop the storied Penang Hill, the gateway to the UNESCO Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve. Apart from the myriad of flora and fauna that are discoverable along our 1.6km trail, visitors will enjoy breathtaking views atop Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, the highest accessible viewing platform on Penang Island as well as traverse the longest bridge of its kind in the world, the Langur Way Canopy Walk. Your visit helps funds environmental conservation and education efforts in Penang and beyond through The Habitat Foundation.

Please note that the Penang Funicular Train ticket is not included. Visitors will need to purchase it separately to access The Habitat and use their normal walk admission ticket. It is a non-profit organization created to fund conservation efforts to save and protect the rich nature and greenery of Penang Hill The Habitat Penang Hill is an ecotourism park atop Penang Hill, part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Visitors arrive via the Penang Hill Funicular Train, operated by our partner Penang Hill Corporation (PHC). The train service and its fees are separate from The Habitat’s admission

The park officially closes at 21:00 Please note: Sunset views and night walk experiences are weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed When the weather is favourable, Evening Walk visitors will have the chance to enjoy the sunset and join a complimentary Night Walk The Night Walk begins at Curtis Crest around 19:45 (once it is sufficiently dark), lasts approximately one hour, and ends at the main entrance by 20:45 Please be informed that The Habitat Penang Hill will close earlier at 15:00 on 9th July 2026 and open later at 10:00 on 10th July 2026. We appreciate your understanding and recommend planning your visit accordingly. Re-entry is not allowed after you leave the venue Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue
