Overview

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is the largest aquarium in the Middle East, housing 46,000 animals across 10 distinct zones. Visitors spend about one to two hours exploring areas such as UAE’s Natural Treasures, Red Sea Wreck, Atlantic Cave, The Sub, Ring of Fire, Ocean Magic, Frozen Ocean, Flooded Forest, Bu Tinah Island, and Back of House. The admission ticket includes access to all these zones. A highlight of the visit is the Glass Bridge Walk, a mini boat ride lasting 5 to 7 minutes that travels above the Bu Tinah Tunnel. The boat has a glass bottom, allowing close views of sharks, stingrays, and other aquatic animals beneath. The ticket also grants entry to the Behind the Scenes Tour, where visitors can see the aquarium’s conservation area, learn about animal care, and understand the importance of wildlife protection. The aquarium is supported by 80 sea-life experts and focuses on education and wildlife rescue, aiming to rehabilitate native species and promote sustainability in Abu Dhabi.
