Overview

This 3.5-hour walking tour takes place in Tokyo's Shinjuku district. The group meets the guide at a local sushi restaurant where an expert sushi chef prepares eight pieces of seasonal Omakase nigiri sushi, served fresh. After tasting the sushi, the tour continues on foot through Shinjuku’s busy streets to a Japanese BBQ restaurant near Shinjuku West or Kabukicho. Here, participants enjoy a full dinner featuring premium Wagyu beef yakiniku. A vegetarian menu is available if requested at least one day before the tour. Following dinner, the group walks through the neon-lit Kabukicho entertainment district, known for its restaurants, theaters, and nightlife. The tour includes a stop at the Godzilla Head, a large sculpture and popular photo spot in the area. To conclude, the guide leads the group to a local bar or snack bar in Nishishinjuku where guests can choose either a Japanese dessert or an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. Families with children are directed to a Japanese snack restaurant instead. The tour is led by a MagicalTrip Certified Guide who provides information about the food and neighborhood and takes photos during the tour. The price includes two drinks (which may include alcohol), the sushi, the Wagyu beef dinner, dessert or a drink, and photos taken during the tour. The walking distance covers about 3.5 hours within Shinjuku and highlights local food spots often missed by visitors.
