Overview

This walking tour lasts about three hours and takes place along the Medicine Trail in the Callaghan Valley near Whistler. The group uses snowshoes provided by the operator to follow an old trapper’s path through a forest of cedar, fir, and hemlock trees. Medicine Trail in Callaghan Valley

Travel on snowshoes along an old trapper’s path through forested trails in the Callaghan Valley. The guide explains the history and traditional uses of the area. Participants sample healing teas made from plants found along the Medicine Trail. The forest is dominated by large cedar, fir, and hemlock trees forming a high canopy overhead. This portion lasts about three hours roundtrip.
