Overview

This full-day tour from Krakow lasts about 11 to 12 hours and includes hotel pickup and drop-off in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver/guide. The trip begins with a visit to the wooden village of Chochołów, located about 20 minutes from Zakopane. This village is known for its traditional wooden houses, which are maintained by a special washing method done twice a year. Visitors will learn about the local production of oscypek, a smoked sheep cheese typical of the region, and have the opportunity to taste it along with local alcohol. Next, the tour proceeds to Zakopane, where guests take a cable car ride to the summit of Gubałówka mountain, situated 1,126 meters above sea level. At the top, there is a viewing platform offering panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains, as well as restaurants and cafes where visitors can relax. After descending, the tour includes free time to explore Krupówki, Zakopane’s main street, known for its market stalls, restaurants, and cafés. Following the visit to Zakopane, the group travels about 30 minutes to a nearby thermal bath complex. Here, guests can spend approximately two and a half hours enjoying indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, and whirlpools heated by natural hot springs.
