Charleston’s downtown includes the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods, known for notable architecture and waterfront mansions. This guided walking tour lasts about two hours and covers key sites in these areas. The guide leads visitors past some of Charleston’s oldest churches, including St. Philip's Church, home to the city’s longest-meeting congregation, and the French Huguenot Church, the only one of its kind in North America. Walk by the Pink House Gallery, the oldest private residence in the city, and visit the Old Slave Mart Museum, which focuses on Charleston’s history of slavery. The tour also passes the Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, a central site from pre-Revolutionary Charleston, and Rainbow Row, known as the city’s most photographed landmark.
