This two-hour group surf lesson takes place at Kalama Beach in Kihei, known for its gentle waves that are ideal for beginners. The lesson is led by experienced surf coaches who guide participants step-by-step to help them stand up and ride waves. Classes are kept small to allow for personal attention and a better learning environment. All necessary surfing equipment is provided, and free parking is available at the beach. Participants must be able to swim confidently in the ocean and in deep water. Changing rooms and showers are on site for convenience. During the lesson, any health issues such as pain, tingling, or numbness should be reported to the instructor immediately, and the activity must be stopped if symptoms like lower back or neck pain occur. Medical attention should be sought if symptoms persist.

CHECK-IN at Kalama Beach Park at our Surf Club Maui van, we will outfit you with reef shoes and a rash guard surf shirt. We start with a short land lesson to go over the safety and technique. Then our experienced coaches get into the water with you and help you catch waves. The water is warm, and the waves are usually gentle and the water is about waist to chest deep. PLEASE BE PREPARED: Please arrive well rested, and be sure to hydrate and Drink plenty of water before your session. THIS GROUP SURF CLASS IS FOR MIXED AGES 11 AND UP. If you have younger kids you must book a Private lesson, or a Semi-private family class. If you arrive with a child under 11 years old the lesson will be canceled and no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding. *NOTE: Surf students must be able to swim in the ocean, if you show up for the class and can not swim or are not comfortable in deep water, the lesson will be canceled and no-refunds will be given. ***Weight limit is 250 per person **WAIVER: We will send you a link to the Online Waiver form, please sign this before your lesson. ***Please bring some cash for a Gratuity (tip) for your instructor.
