Overview

This small-group tour of Uluru lasts about three hours and begins with hotel pickup from Ayers Rock Resort. The group travels by air-conditioned vehicle to the entrance of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, where park entry fees are required but not included. The first stop is a special spot to watch the sunrise over Uluru while having a light outback picnic breakfast with freshly brewed coffee and tea. After breakfast, the guide leads a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse at Uluru’s base. Here, the guide shares the Creation stories of Kuniya (woma python) and Liru (venomous snake), explains their significance, and points out Aboriginal rock art on the cave walls. The tour concludes with a drive around the base of Uluru before returning to the resort. The guide provides commentary throughout, and the tour is suitable for those with limited time in the area.
