Overview

This 7.5-hour shared guided tour operates with pickup and drop-off at selected hotels and residences in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle area for bookings of at least two adults. The tour begins with transportation to Bukit Melawati, also known as Fort Altingsburg, an 18th-century fort used historically for city defense. On weekdays, guests walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach the fort, while on weekends a tram service is provided. Visitors spend about one hour exploring Bukit Melawati and its surroundings. Afterward, the group travels to Kuala Selangor, where a local seafood dinner is served in a fishing village. Following dinner, participants register at the jetty before boarding a boat for a night ride along the river to observe the fireflies lighting the trees and the bioluminescent plankton known as Blue Tears glowing in the water. Photography, video recording, and catching fireflies are not allowed during the boat ride. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, admission fees, dinner, an English-speaking guide, and air-conditioned transport. The vehicle type varies according to the number of participants on the day.
