The tour begins at Pompeii, where a licensed guide meets you at the main gate after tickets are purchased. You will spend around two hours exploring the ancient city’s ruins, including the Civil Forum, Basilica, small cook-shops, Casa del Fauno, Casa dei Vettii, Stabian Baths, and the Grand Theatre. After Pompeii, there is a brief visit to one of the city’s gates, known as the most impressive of the seven, before you travel to Herculaneum. Upon arrival, you meet a licensed guide at the main gate after buying tickets and tour the ruins for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Highlights include the Casa dei Cervi and the recently restored remains of a boat found in the marina area where 300 skeletons were uncovered. The tour continues with a visit to the Vesuvius National Park.
