Overview

This afternoon tour focuses on the local wine and beer scene in the Gibbston and Arthurs Point areas near Queenstown. The tour lasts about four hours and is conducted by bus with a guide. It includes visits to three different cellar doors and breweries where guests can choose either wine or craft beer tastings at each location. The first stop is the GT Tasting Room at the Gibbston Tavern, where tastings feature Gibbston-grown wines or craft beers from a nearby brewery. The guide shares information about the region’s wine production and local beer preferences. Next, the tour drives deeper into Gibbston to Kinross Cellar Door, hosting wine tastings from Kinross and four other boutique producers, including several award-winning Pinot Noirs. Beer drinkers can sample four local beers here with self-guided tasting notes, accompanied by charcuterie boards. The final stop is Altitude Brewing near Queenstown Marina. Guests can relax with tasting flights of local boutique wines or Altitude’s craft beers while socializing with the group. The tour ends with shared antipasto platters before returning to central Queenstown around 7pm. The tour provides central pickup and drop-off and includes all tastings and snacks.
