Overview

This 4.5-hour adventure tour in Queenstown combines a jet boat ride and river rafting on the Kawarau River. The trip begins with a jet boat ride featuring 360-degree spins and high speeds through the Kawarau River's natural surroundings. The jet boat transports participants to the rafting put-in point, where the river rafting section starts. The rafting covers grade 2-3 whitewater rapids, including a new optional cliff jumping section for those who want extra excitement. Rafters will navigate the historic Kawarau Gorge, known for its gold mining past, wineries, and appearances in The Lord of the Rings films. The tour concludes with running the Dog Leg rapid, which is the longest commercial rapid rafted in New Zealand at 400 meters. After completing the rafting, participants return to the base where hot showers are available. Wetsuits, rafting clothing, and all necessary equipment are provided. Safety instructions and paddling techniques are thoroughly explained before the rafting begins. Guests should bring a swimsuit and towel, and snacks are not included in the price.

First your jet boat will race down the river to your next mode of transport, packing in those famous 360 spins and dramatic canyon walls as you discover the Kawarau River and it's pristine wilderness. After 30 mins jump straight into a raft to complete the last section of the river. Raft through grade 2-3 rapids, take in the beautiful views, choose to join in on the optional rock jumping section for added fun (1hr raft time) Please note for safety we have minimum weight restriction of 40 kg and maximum weight of 120 kg to participate.
