Overview

This full-day private bus tour lasts about 12 hours and begins with pickup from anywhere in Jaipur at your preferred time. After a four-hour drive to Agra, the tour starts with a 90-minute visit to the Taj Mahal, where a live guide explains its history and helps with photos. Following this, the group spends 45 minutes exploring Agra Fort, a red sandstone structure that blends Indian and Mughal architecture. Guests may choose to visit either Agra Fort or Itmad-Ud-Daulah. Next, the tour drives about one hour to Fatehpur Sikri, where there is a 60-minute visit. Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar, features three palaces built for his wives and the Buland Darwaza, the highest gateway in the world. Visitors may opt to substitute Fatehpur Sikri with the Abhaneri Step Well, a large stepwell with 3,500 steps and notable for ancient water conservation, which is visited for about 15 minutes. The tour includes monument entry fees if the option is selected, a private air-conditioned vehicle, a tour guide at the monuments, lunch if chosen, bottled water, and snacks. There is also a demonstration by local artists on marble and carpet craftsmanship. The vehicle type depends on group size, and guests can customize their itinerary to include visits to Baby Taj Mahal or Abhaneri Step Wells. Drop-off can be arranged in Delhi or Agra with an additional fee for Delhi. Note that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays and opens from sunrise to sunset, while other monuments close by 6 PM. Winter fog may delay sunrise visits, with timing adjustments communicated in advance.
