Overview

The small-group boat day excursion to Capri Island departs from Sorrento with hotel pickup or a meeting point in the Sorrento area. The total tour lasts about eight hours. The boat crosses the Tyrrhenian Sea and makes four stops along the way. The first stop is the White Grotto, where the boat stays for ten minutes near the sea cave known for its white calcareous formations and stalactites. Next, the boat visits the Green Grotto for ten minutes, where light creates a green effect on the cave walls. The boat then passes the Faraglioni rock formations for ten minutes, a group of three coastal rock stacks rising from the sea. After that, the boat cruises past Punta Carena Lighthouse for five minutes; this lighthouse is Italy’s second most powerful and sits on a rocky promontory. The Natural Arch is the next stop for five minutes; this large rock has been naturally carved into an arch shape above the sea. Near Marina Piccola Bay, the boat stops for about 30 minutes to allow guests to swim in the clear waters. Following the swim stop, the boat lands at Capri Island, where guests have about 3.5 hours of free time to explore the island on their own. During this time, visitors can walk through the island’s shops, piazzas, and narrow streets, including the central La Piazzetta area, known for handmade sandals and local shops. The tour includes snacks and drinks such as chips, water, soft drinks, Prosecco, and Limoncello tastings. A professional English-speaking skipper is on board throughout the excursion. Optional extras like snorkeling equipment, beach towels, admission fees, and transfers from hotels outside the Sorrento area are not included. The tour does not include a stop at the Blue Grotto, but guests may visit it independently during their free time on the island or choose a different option that includes the Blue Grotto visit.
