This tour includes a fast catamaran ride of about 45 minutes from Cairns to Green Island, a coral cay formed around 6,000 years ago. It is the only coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest. Visitors can snorkel from the white sandy beaches and view the island’s reef from a glass bottom boat. The tour lasts between five and nine hours, with full and half-day options available. Guests have access to the island’s swimming pool exclusive to Great Adventures visitors, as well as a self-guided walk through the rainforest to see more than 120 native plant species and local birds.
