Florence is home to some of the world’s most visited art museums. This small-group guided tour covers two of these key sites over about three hours. The tour begins at the Uffizi Gallery, where a licensed guide leads a 1.5-hour walk through the collection. Visitors see major Renaissance paintings including Botticelli’s "Birth of Venus" and "Spring," Caravaggio’s "Medusa," and Michelangelo’s "Tondo Doni," the only painting he made on wood. After the guided portion, there is time to explore the Uffizi on your own. Next, the group moves to the Accademia Gallery, entering through a priority access point. For about 75 minutes, the guide highlights the museum’s sculptures, especially Michelangelo’s marble David, standing 520 cm tall and carved between 1501 and 1504.
