The full-day tour from Cusco to Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca lasts about 11 to 12 hours. Participants are picked up from their hotels at approximately 4:00 AM and travel by van for about three hours through southern Cusco to the town of Cusipata. There is a short break in Cusipata to rest and have a provided breakfast. After breakfast, the group continues by transport to the trailhead for the hike to Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca. The hike covers about 4 kilometers of uphill terrain, including flat sections and slopes, and takes roughly one and a half hours to reach the summit. At the top, visitors can see the colorful striped layers of the mountain, known as the Mountain of Colors, along with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Wildlife such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and occasionally condors in flight may be seen. After spending time at the summit for photos and sightseeing, the group descends back to Cusipata. Upon return, a lunch prepared by a chef is served before boarding the van for the trip back to Cusco. The tour includes hotel pickup, transportation to and from the walk starting point, breakfast, lunch, a professional guide, oxygen balloons, a first aid kit, and all fees and taxes.
