This four-day hiking tour follows the Inca Quarry Trail, a less crowded route built by the Incas 500 years ago and still used by local communities today. The trek starts in Cusco and includes views of waterfalls, lakes, petroglyphs, and native plants and animals. Along the way, you visit the largest Inca Quarry and the remote Sun Gate overlooking the Sacred Valley. You will also spend time with villagers in Cachiccata to learn about their lifestyle. The trek lasts about 96 hours and includes professional English-speaking guides and a chef who prepares all meals. Transfers are provided from the airport to your hotel, and a hotel pickup is included before the trek begins. Train transportation includes a round trip, with one leg on the Vistadome panoramic train. Accommodation is in 4-man tents shared between two people. Porters carry food and equipment, and each trekker receives a personal porter for up to 7 kg of personal gear. Transportation throughout the entire trip is covered, including buses to and from Machu Picchu. Groups of eight or more receive a second guide.
