Key Largo features some of the clearest waters and well-preserved reefs in the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary. This three-hour snorkel tour runs aboard a 45-foot snorkel boat launched in 2022. The boat departs from a dive and snorkel center about one hour from Miami, located on the oceanfront with facilities including bathrooms, showers, a tiki hut, and a gift shop. The tour visits two of the most popular reef sites near Key Largo, including the well-known Christ of the Abyss statue. From the dock, the boat reaches the reefs in about 20 to 25 minutes. All snorkel equipment is provided, and the crew, who are trained dive professionals, help with gear setup and provide information about the snorkel sites and local area. Reef-safe sunscreen, bottled water, and snacks are included. Guests should be confident ocean swimmers as assistance or flotation devices are not available on the tour. The tour is not suitable for beginner swimmers or those unable to swim without help. Children under five are not allowed on the boat due to insurance rules, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Full face snorkel masks, drones, sea scooters, and weight belts are prohibited. Alcohol consumption is not allowed before or during the tour, and the boat and property are smoke-free.
