Overview
This full-day private service begins with a pick-up from the guest's accommodation in Cusco by private transport. The vehicle takes the guest to the Ollantaytambo train station, where they board the Peru Rail Expedition train for a scenic journey to Machupicchu town. Upon arrival, a bus transfers visitors from Machupicchu town to the main entrance of the Machupicchu archaeological site. A private professional guide leads a two-hour tour in either English or Spanish, covering the most important sectors of Machupicchu. After the guided visit, guests take the bus back to Machupicchu town, where lunch can be purchased independently at local restaurants. Guests must return to the train station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure for the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, private transport returns guests to their hotel in Cusco in the evening. The service includes round-trip private transportation between Cusco and Ollantaytambo train station, round-trip Peru Rail Expedition train tickets, general entrance to Machupicchu, bus transfers to and from the sanctuary, and a private guide for the Machupicchu visit. Meals and other personal expenses are not included.
