The canoe is exceptionally stable and equipped with all necessary modern safety gear including life jackets, rain gear, and boots. During the trip, you will navigate past icebergs and may see Alaskan wildlife along the way. The tour approaches within a safe distance of the Mendenhall Glacier’s face, offering close views of the glacier. You will also stop at Nugget Falls, where you can get out on the beach and enjoy an Alaskan-style snack before paddling back. Transportation to and from the launch site is included. The number of participants is limited by the Forest Service due to the proximity to the glacier face.
